  1. Do you not long to cook the yummiest recipes at least a second time? I truly enjoy cooking but I am overcome with admiration at your energy and enthusiasm in preparing a new one every time. My best loved recipes have ‘s.d.’ written beside them and are revisited many, many times – ‘s.d.’ signifying of course ‘simply delicious’…

  2. When I was working through Nigella’s ‘Kitchen’ cookbook, I certainly repeated recipes – and still do repeat them from time to time. With Marcella’s book, the yummy recipes just keep coming and so I am delighted to keep discovering them. Most are very simple so it doesn’t take as much energy as it might seem. Also, working with one national cuisine and one author means that you are learning the techniques as you go along and many of those techniques are constantly repeated – so it has been a great learning process. I love the ‘S.D’ that you put next to your favourites. Mine get a tick and a smiley face if they good – sometimes a smiley face with an exclamation mark if they are very good!
