Imperfection

Today’s Form

Limerick

Today’s Device

Enjambment

The floors of my house are appalling!

It’s been weeks that my Hoover’s been calling

Each time I walk through

It reminds me it’s true

That my standards of perfection are falling.

  1. Great limerick but too close to the bone by far. I have been suppressing guilt feelings about my floors, but now I think I have to do something about it this weekend… Maybe the Prince will do some hoovering while I wash the tiles.
